Singer Sewing Machine Necklace
You may have seen my previous post Dandelyne Miniature Embroidery Necklace where I embroidered some cute bunting and set it in one of the hoops by Dandelyne. Well, I'm at it again and this time I've gone for a Singer sewing machine silhouette. This is one of the patterns that you can also buy pre-made from Dandelyne, but I decided to give it a go myself. Having grown up with an old Singer sewing machine at home, I love these old machines. It's amazing to see how ornate sewing machines once were, a far cry from the technologically advanced electrical sewing machines we now take for granted. This great symbol of sewing is incredibly timeless, and when placed in an embroidery hoop pendant, I don't think you can better portray a love of sewing.
These necklaces are super easy to make. You just need the following:
- A hoop necklace kit from Dandelyne
- A small embroidery hoop
- Fabric (I used calico)
- DMC in whatever colours you desire
- An embroidery needle
- Craft glue
- Some creativity!
